Nonprofit transitions all healing resources to no cost, unveils new donor-sponsored healing model, and prepares for a nationwide movement of Christ-centered trauma recovery
Oregon, USA , It’s Your Story to Tell, a nonprofit dedicated to Christ-centered, trauma-informed healing, is announcing a significant national expansion beginning in January 2026 with the launch of its first Crisis Intervention Teams in Oregon and Mississippi. This initiative marks the first phase of a five-year plan to establish at least one Crisis Intervention Team in all 50 states by 2031.
This expansion follows a major organizational milestone: in November 2025, It’s Your Story to Tell officially transitioned all of its courses, workshops, devotionals, Bible studies, and coaching resources to no cost. The podcast, It’s Your Story to Tell, has always been freely available.
By removing every financial barrier, the organization ensures that individuals seeking emotional and spiritual healing can access high-quality, trauma-informed resources without cost.
“No one should be denied the opportunity to heal because they cannot afford it,” said founder Megan Babcock. “For many people in crisis, even identifying what they need feels impossible, paying for it is another barrier altogether. God made it clear that every resource we offer must be given freely.”
Megan Babcock is the founder of It’s Your Story to Tell and brings more than two decades of healthcare experience into her work as a board-certified holistic nurse coach and certified mental health coach with a specialty in trauma and crisis. While seeking God’s guidance to define a sustainable and compassionate care model for crisis intervention teams, Megan was reminded of her work in oncology and the multidisciplinary tumor board—a collaborative care model where patients are supported by a coordinated team of specialists.
As she prayed through the financial realities of providing this level of care, God brought to mind the Angel Tree model, where individuals choose a specific person and gift to give. From this, the vision emerged to build individualized healing plans alongside clear cost breakdowns, allowing donors to sponsor part or all of a person’s care—transforming generosity into a tangible gift of healing.
A New Model of Holistic, Donor-Sponsored Healing
Beginning in 2026, It’s Your Story to Tell will launch a comprehensive support model designed to help clients heal deeply and step into all they were created to be. Each client in the program will receive an individualized support plan developed by a team of:
- Licensed professionals
- Trauma-informed coaches
- Nonprofit partners
- Ministries and spiritual leaders
This collaborative approach integrates emotional, mental, spiritual, and practical support, offering the kind of holistic care that trauma recovery truly requires.
Meeting the Needs Trauma Makes Hard to Meet
When someone is walking through trauma or crisis, the brain’s ability to organize, plan, and problem-solve shuts down. Even if they know they need support, coordinating multiple providers and affording services becomes overwhelming and often impossible.
While many programs offer valuable pieces of the healing journey, It’s Your Story to Tell is uniquely positioned to:
- Identify what support is needed
- Coordinate and network with providers
- Remove the financial burden
- Offer consistent, safe, relational presence
- Provide Christ-centered spiritual guidance
“Trauma recovery requires safe relationships,” Babcock said. “Our teams ensure each person knows they are seen, valued, supported, and not walking alone.”
How Donor Sponsorship Works
Once a client’s plan is created, the organization will develop a clear cost breakdown and present the opportunity to potential donors who are invited to:
- Pray for the individual
- Sponsor part or all of their healing plan
- See exactly where their financial contributions go
With full transparency, every dollar donated goes directly to services, not administrative overhead.
The organization is also actively recruiting licensed providers, coaches, and ministries willing to volunteer hours or offer discounted services, allowing the nonprofit to support more individuals while maintaining quality of care.
Expanding Leadership for Nationwide Growth
To steward this next season, It’s Your Story to Tell will expand its Board of Directors in 2026. The organization is seeking leaders with experience in:
- Nonprofit operations and finance
- Mental health and trauma-informed care
- Ministry and pastoral leadership
- Business development and strategy
- Community impact and philanthropy
“This vision requires strong, wise leadership,” Babcock said. “We are praying for board members who share our passion for healing, generational transformation, and Spirit-led excellence.”
The Vision: Healing Individuals, Transforming Generations
At the heart of It’s Your Story to Tell is a mission to see:
- Generational wounds healed
- Cycles of trauma broken
- Identity and purpose restored
- Families set free
- Communities transformed through Christ-centered care
By reducing financial barriers, coordinating care, and providing consistent relational support, the organization is preparing to bring hope and healing to communities across the United States.
