Astral & Root Builds Trust Through Transparent Wellness

Veteran founder Adam Jacobs created Astral & Root to bring clearer labeling, service-minded values, and purpose to daily wellness.

For Adam, responsibility has never been a distant concept. It has been part of his daily life through military service, leadership, and years spent in roles where discipline and accountability mattered. After 14 years as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, Adam understood what it meant to operate in demanding environments and to keep showing up for others.

That experience helped shape the foundation of Astral & Root, a veteran-owned neurowellness company built around transparency, clear communication, and a service-oriented mission. Rather than presenting itself as another broad wellness brand, Astral & Root was created with a specific point of view: that nervous system regulation — not just stress management — is the upstream driver of sleep, focus, mood, and how someone responds under pressure, and that customers deserve to know what they are buying, why a company made certain choices, and how a brand’s values show up beyond the label.

The company’s flagship product, ETHERIC, is a daily powder stick pack designed for adults who want a clearly labeled supplement option as part of their personal routine. Astral & Root presents ETHERIC as a dietary supplement, not a medical product. The company does not claim that it cures, treats, diagnoses, heals, or prevents any disease or medical condition. Instead, the brand places its emphasis on nervous system regulation, transparency, intentional formulation, and customer education.

“Everyone talks about stress management. Nobody talks enough about nervous system regulation — the daily habits and systems people build around pressure,” Adam said. “For us, the goal was to create a product and a brand experience that treats the system, not just the symptom. Something that felt clear, direct, and honest from the start.”

Adam brings a layered background to the wellness space. Alongside his Coast Guard career, he has leadership experience in financial services, including senior management at a multibillion-dollar credit union. He also holds an MBA and authored The Neurowellness Series, a 10-book series covering topics related to brain health, wellness habits, and personal resilience, also available as a 464-page omnibus paperback on Amazon.

That combination of service, business experience, and research helped guide the tone of Astral & Root. The brand was not created around celebrity endorsements or trend-driven marketing. Adam wanted Astral & Root to feel grounded, especially for people who value clarity and structure in the products they choose. That philosophy is reflected in the company’s message: “Every ingredient disclosed. Every dose is intentional.”

One of Astral & Root’s central standards is transparent supplement labeling. ETHERIC lists its ingredients and amounts clearly, avoiding proprietary blends that can make labels harder for customers to understand. For consumers comparing wellness products, that level of disclosure can make the decision-making process feel more informed and less confusing.

Astral & Root, the veteran-founded neurowellness brand, has been named Best Neurowellness Supplement in the United States of 2026 by Best of Best Review, a nomination-based awards platform that recognizes companies for product quality, innovation, and consumer focus.

After finding that prescription medication masked his symptoms, Adam spent years studying the nervous system, adaptogens, and functional mushrooms – work that led both to the Astral & Root product line and to his Amazon-published The Neurowellness Series.

That research shapes how the company builds its products: every ingredient is disclosed on the label and every dose is chosen deliberately, so customers can see exactly what they’re taking and why. It’s an approach rooted in the belief that when the nervous system is in balance, sleep, mood, and everyday resilience can follow.

Adam believes that trust begins when a company gives people enough information to ask better questions. In a crowded supplement market, where brands often rely on dramatic language or broad promises, Astral & Root is taking a more restrained approach centered on nervous system regulation rather than generic stress relief. The company focuses on clear labeling, straightforward communication, and a willingness to explain how its product is built.

“We don’t hide doses behind a proprietary blend on ETHERIC. We have not used celebrity endorsements. We do not market to everyone,” Adam said. “We built this for people who care about what they put into their routine and want a company that respects their ability to make an informed choice.”

Astral & Root’s identity also extends beyond its product line. The company is certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and as a SWaM-certified business through the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is also registered on SAM.gov for federal procurement eligibility. These certifications reflect the company’s connection to service communities and its interest in building a business with long-term accountability.

That sense of purpose is also visible in the Little Roots Project, an initiative funded by three percent of every Astral & Root sale. The project is dedicated to free neurowellness education for children, with the goal of making practical knowledge more accessible to families and young people. For Adam, that mission connects the company’s commercial work to a broader responsibility.

“Three percent of every sale funds the Little Roots Project, free neurowellness education for children all over the world,” Adam said. “The work we do should reach beyond a single product. It should reflect the families and communities connected to the people we serve.”

The human element is an important part of Astral & Root’s story. Adam built the company from lived experience, professional discipline, and a belief that wellness brands should communicate with care. Instead of asking customers to trust a vague promise, Astral & Root invites them to look closely at the label, the mission, and the people behind the brand.

As the wellness market continues to expand, Astral & Root is positioning itself around a quieter but meaningful standard: nervous system regulation and transparency before hype. For Adam, that approach is not only a business decision. It is a continuation of the values that shaped his career, including service, accountability, and respect for the people placing their trust in the brand.
