Will Apple release an “ultra-thin” iPhone 17 Air? new report

From personal robots to smart home devices, there’s always a plethora of rumors about what Apple is working on next.

Now, South Korea’s Jissa Journal, a weekly current affairs magazine published since 1989, reported on Friday that the tech giant will release the iPhone 17 Air in September, and that it will be just 6.25mm thick. Ta.

According to MacRumors, if this rumor is true, the iPhone 17 will be the thinnest iPhone ever, approximately 20-25% thinner than all available iPhone 16 models.

Sisa Journal also reports that there will be no “Plus” version of the iPhone 17 “Air” and that the “ultra-thin” device will likely start at $899 in the US.

Earlier this month, multiple reports indicated that Apple could add at least two foldable devices to its iPhone and iPad lineup in 2026.

While Google and Samsung are already developing foldable devices (Samsung leads the market, shipping more than 10 million foldable phones in 2023 out of 15.9 million units sold), Stat According to Counter, Apple dominates the US smartphone sector with 56% of the mobile market share.

In November, reports surfaced that Apple was also working on a smart home device to compete with Amazon’s Echo and Google’s Nest.
