Kylie Kelsey’s new podcast “Not Gonna Lie” is currently No. 1 on Apple’s podcast charts. The song also hit the top spot on Spotify this month, but at the time of writing it was in second place behind “The Joe Rogan Experience.” (Meanwhile, Rogan’s podcast was #1 on Spotify throughout 2024.)

Kelsey’s podcast Instagram profile reads, “One mic. Zero fucks. No lies.” Reviews described the film as “relatable” with a mix of “humour, candor, and an unmistakable sense of camaraderie.” She told The New York Times that episodes are tailored for female viewers and are limited to 45 minutes to prioritize “a busy woman’s timeline.” There are stories about raising children, holiday shopping, and how uncomfortable high-waisted jeans are.

According to the New York Times, the podcast reached 25 million social views and audio downloads in its first week, according to Wave Sports + Entertainment. Wave is the company behind the show, which also produces Travis and Jason Kelsey’s podcast “New Heights.”

That’s not a bad thing for a mother of three (currently pregnant with four) who coaches field hockey at a local high school. Of course, she is not just a random person with no followers either. She can boast of 2.3 million followers on Instagram.

Kelce is married to now-retired Philadelphia Eagles star and seven-time NFL Pro Bowler Jason Kelce, whom she reportedly met on Tinder without knowing who he was. (Reference, I can empathize with it). Her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, is a close aide to the Kansas City chief who is famous for dating Taylor Swift, one of the most famous people in the world.

This has allowed us to build a loyal following and bring in some very impressive guests.

Her first guest on Dec. 5 was “Honorary Philadelphian” Caitlin Olsen, one of Hollywood’s hardest workers. In addition to starring on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” for 17 seasons, Olsen also starred in the 2024 Emmy Award-winning HBO comedy series “Hacks” and will appear in ABC’s new hit show “High Potential.” He is playing the lead role. ”

Related: I created an AI-hosted podcast using Google’s NotebookLM. It worked surprisingly well.

But when it comes to creating content to get guests and win over Joe Rogan, Kelce makes it clear that’s not an issue.

“I’m focused on putting out content that people want to consume,” Kelce told the Times. “If it puts us there for a week, that’s cool. If it puts us there longer than that, that’s cool. But we also don’t need to inflame the conflict that it causes.”

Despite some criticism, from nepotism to her parenting advice, Kelce continues to say “zero.”

“I say this in the most respectful sense,” she added. “I don’t care what other people say.”
