In the latest version of the Files by Google app, when you invoke Gemini while viewing a PDF, it gives you the option to ask questions about the file, writes Android Police. However, you must be a Gemini Advanced subscriber to use the feature, according to Mishaal Rahman, who reported that the feature began rolling out on Friday.
If you have this feature, when you invoke Gemini while viewing a PDF in the Files app, you’ll see an “Ask a question about this PDF” button. Tap this to ask ChatGPT about the file, just like you would ask a question about a PDF. Google first announced this screen recognition feature at its I/O developer conference in May.
Rahman posted a screenshot of it in action.
Other context-aware Gemini features include the ability to ask questions about web pages and YouTube videos. For apps or file types that don’t have Gemini’s context-aware support, the Assistant will instead answer questions about your screen using the screenshot you took when you tapped Ask a Question About This Screen. I would like to suggest.
