How will US AI policy change under the Trump administration?
President Biden first witnessed ChatGPT’s capabilities in a demonstration in the Oval Office in 2022 by Arati Prabhakar, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
This demonstration triggered a number of events that encouraged President Biden to support the US AI sector while managing the safety risks arising from it.
