Whether you subscribe or not, New Year’s resolutions are the most important thing for many people in the United States. Thankfully, if your 2025 goals revolve around health and fitness, the 42mm Apple Watch Series 10 is on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy starting at $329 ($70 off) and available on Black Friday. Matches the lowest price. You can also purchase 46mm size models starting at $359 ($70 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. This is the best price we’ve ever seen for a large model.
There are certainly better fitness trackers out there for hardcore athletes, but none of them offer the strong third-party support you get with the flagship Apple Watch, and none of them offer the same strong third-party support you get with Apple’s larger device eco. It’s not as integrated with the system. The Series 10 is a fairly minor update compared to previous models, but with a nice wide-angle OLED display, sleep apnea detection, a thinner design, and a large charging coil for charging, it’s a solid choice for casual athletes. It’s a choice. Go from zero to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
A more substantial fitness update comes in the form of watchOS 11, Apple’s latest software update for the Apple Watch, which brings a set of new training features to the midrange wearable. These include a new training load feature, an app called Vitals that lets you contextualize a set of recovery metrics, and the long-awaited ability to pause activity rings (which has been praised). I wouldn’t call any of them revolutionary, but they’re definitely welcome if you’re upgrading from an older model or have never owned an Apple Watch before.
