Lucid Motors began manufacturing the Gravity SUV last week, and now the EPA has finalized the vehicle’s all-electric range at 450 miles on a full charge. The new official estimate is slightly more than the 440 miles originally advertised by Lucid. The company’s Air sedans can travel up to 512 miles, depending on trim.
Last week, Lucid ceremonially began production at its Arizona plant to commemorate the first Gravity SUV rolling off the line. Gravity has three rows of seating, plus frunks for storage and parking seating. It’s also Lucid’s first vehicle with a native NACS port for charging at Tesla Superchargers.
However, the wider the range, the higher the price. Lucid will begin taking orders for the Gravity on November 7th, with initial configurations for the Grand Touring model starting at $94,900. The cheaper $79,900 Touring version won’t go on sale until late 2025. Lucid is also planning an inexpensive mid-sized SUV that will cost about $50,000 in the second half of 2026.
