Optimism Amid Challenges: Insights from GoDaddy’s New Survey
A recent survey conducted by GoDaddy, a leading website hosting company, highlights a resilient outlook among entrepreneurs in the face of economic pressures, including tariffs.
Key Findings on Economic Outlook
The survey, which involved 2,100 microbusiness owners, reveals that approximately half anticipate a weakening economy in the coming six months. Nevertheless, a significant 66% maintain positive revenue expectations.
- 9% forecast a decline in sales, showing a majority are holding strong.
- Microbusinesses are defined in this survey as typically employing fewer than 10 individuals.
Adaptations and Long-term Goals
According to the report, many entrepreneurs are adjusting their long-term aspirations. Notably, about 40% of respondents now plan to remain “solo entrepreneurs,” an increase from 36% in the previous year. This shift indicates a strategic pivot towards more manageable operations rather than expanding their workforce.
